Ages 12-Up
A group of like minded students and practitioners of the Filipino Martial Arts (FMA). These arts are also known as Escrima, Kali, and Arnis. They involve extensive weapons skills with the rattan stick, sword and knife. Also there is grappling (dumog), striking (panantukan), and kicking (sikaran) all integrated into a vast set of martial systems.
This curriculum based training is off the Creative Defense Systems (CDS) that is taught all over Alabama other states. Instructors are trained weekly in classes and every two months in seminars led by CDS leaders and other Guros in Filipino Martial Arts.
Class Times: Mondays at 7:15pm - 8:15pm
